Xerocon event branding

Brief

Xerocon is an inspiring global conference that Xero stage annually for accounts and bookkeepers. It’s anything but boring and in accounting circles, it’s known as the Coachella for accountants. We were tasked to create the global branding to support the event and also help develop the supporting strategic framework that underpinned the topics and purpose of 2019.

Solution

Communities of purpose. Our platform explored the many factors that helped create successful communities including accountants, bookkeepers and small businesses through to our product and ecosystem of connected apps. We created hundreds of deliverables over a number of months, from the overall branding, keynote presentations, wayfinding, swag, event tees, lanyards, social assets and more.

Indigitek branding

Brief

Xero are proud supporters and advocates Indigitek, a community of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people who are continuing a proud tradition of Indigenous innovation and entrepreneurship in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Indigitek approached our internal agency the Hub, looking for support to help them refresh their branding and collateral.

Solution

Working closely with the team and community elders, we updated the visual identity and created a set of brand guidelines that reflected the business and their proud culture. The guidelines contained a positioning statement, tone of voice, revised logomark, colour usage, typography, and brand system. We contrasted crisp, bold typography reflecting the technological skills of the professionals they represent, together with colors of the Australian and Torres Strait Islands, sea, sky, and land. Collaborating with a local artist from the community, we also created iconography that represented connections, technology, the land and culture.

XERO AU HQ Branding & WAYFINDING

Brief

With the plans underway to build Australia’s head office, the hub was engaged to support the Workplace Experience team to ensure the office was on brand and create guidelines for future offices across the globe.

Solution

We were involved every step of the way in the interior design of the office including fit-out, materials, way-finding, iconography, signage, and more. In order to make the workplace more beautiful we worked with local indigenous artists from Jacky Winter (Ryhia Dank, Clemens Habicht, Carla Mc Rae) to create murals that reflected our brand and shared values. We even hid a number of easter eggs in the office for people to discover, such as morse code reflecting our values and culture designed in privacy glass decals.

XSBI Branding

Brief

Xero’s Small Business Insights (XSBI) program publishes monthly metrics showing the impact of events on the small business economy based on anonymised, aggregated data drawn from hundreds of thousands of global subscribers. Xero has been using data to brief government leaders and policy makers in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK and benefit small business owners everywhere.

Solution

We developed a comprehensive style guide that complimented Xero’s branding while also being able to stand alone. The guidelines contained a set of graphic tools to communicate effectively and concisely across all media and included a positioning statement, tone of voice, logomark, colour usage, typography, photography treatments, website, motion design, press packs, social, and reporting templates.
